Update On My Husbands Chronic Lymphatic Leukemia
Why you haven't heard from me in a month and update on my husband's CLL cancer.
I want to first apologize for not publishing for the past month. I hope you all will understand after I update you. The last two weeks in Feb, we both came down with both COVID and strep throat. In all the past 25 years, we have never had the flu, respiratory illness, or COVID. I have had strep before. We struggled for two weeks, and my husband began to go downhill both physically and with his ability to function mentally. I finally got him to go to the ER. He was experiencing a violent cough that racked his ribs. He kept refusing to go, and he's stubborn.
In the ER, the doctor ordered tests and CT scans of his lungs down through his pelvis. Both the COVID and strep tests came out positive for both of us. They kept Marty there and began giving him fluids and antibiotics.
The CT scans showed many swollen lymph nodes. The doctor was not experienced in CLL. Since we had not seen an oncologist in quite a while, he basically thought Marty’s condition had turned into Lymphoma cancer or some other cancer. He pretty much refused to let Marty go home and ordered him to be taken by ambulance up to an oncology center near Denver.
I had COVID and strep, so they would not let me go up to. I was sick but not in a critical way. So he ended up in the oncology unit basically because of this doctor.
So in those 4 days, they performed a number of cancer blood tests, as well as treating him for lung issues and strep. I can say that they consulted me on what they were doing. I did get some important consultations with the doctors.
After 4 days up there, they released him with antibiotics to be taken at home. He came home so weak from being sick that he wasn’t functioning physically or mentally well. Most of these symptoms are covid after effects, such as weakness, mental impairment, and remarkably not who he was before he got sick. His CLL didn’t help the situation, to say the least.
The results of all the oncology tests and diagnosis are that he has CLL, just like the doctors said several years ago.
It had NOT turned into a more rapid killing cancer of any kind. His lymph node involvement is part of the stage 2 symptoms. His spleen is not involved at this point. His red blood cell system and platelets were fine. He was still in watch-and-wait with CLL staging. They did not find anything remarkable in the CLL part of his health. So the regimen with herbs has worked.
Papaya extract and effects on platelets.
I am going to write a whole article on this subject. I found the research by accident.
I started using papaya extract on him for his platelets. That has been shown to improve platelets. In one month, his platelet count rose from 213, which is low-normal, to over 300. That is conclusive evidence that papaya can raise platelet counts in CLL. I thought I would tell you that. I had paid for tests myself a month before. They then tested his blood several times at this Oncology center.
It is now the middle of March, and I am completely well with no lasting COVID effects, either mentally or fatigue-wise. My husband is improving a little at this point, but he needs help to function. The COVID aftermath with him is severe. I am trying to rebuild his system, both physically and with brain-herbs such as Lion’s Mane. We have been married since 2009, and he has never been in this state. I am going to use the system for some evaluations we need. I am going to continue his regimen for CLL, which is an alternative medicine. He needs me most of the day at this point.
I am delaying the brain and Lyme course I was going to start this month. I just can’t do all of it while concentrating on getting him back up from all of this. I will update you all on this. I do hope you understand and will be patient until I can write more.
