New Course, Revitalize your Brain and Memory Class
A severe concussion and Lyme disease tried to take my memory but I won in the end. Learn how to revitalize your brain and memory function!
Why did I create this course on brain and memory health?
I had to walk the journey of watching my own memory get worse each week. I had to overcome both a severe concussion and Lyme disease, so I have walked the walk to revitalize my memory and brain function.
I am writing this today to give others the tools to fight their memory issues!
The journey back to health can seem forever. At one point, I suffered memory loss from both a severe concussion and Lyme disease later. I have been through the greatest health challenges of my life.
Regaining your health and memory takes time and fighting your way through the health challenge. At certain points, you may feel hopeless and that you will never be well again. You can’t give up. You have you trudge through it until you find answers!
Back in 2015, we had just moved to TN right after Christmas during a snow storm. The house we moved to was up a steep hill. I didn’t have proper boots. I fell down the first month, hitting the back of my head hard against the frozen ground. My head hurt pretty badly, but it was not until a week later that I realized I had a concussion. We went to sign up at a community center, and I couldn’t remember my birthday. My husband looked at me with shock.
Then later, after fighting ticks daily with welts upon welts, I began getting sick, my balance was affected, and my memory deteriorated. I would leave the stove on, nearly exploding the eggs on the ceiling. I blamed the concussion. My neighbor told me it was tick disease, and it had taken over two years for him to get a proper diagnosis.
After several doctors, several tests for Lyme that were negative, I got proper testing. I did have Lyme and had been suffering for about a year. The doctors had told me it was my nerves because I was a caregiver for my father-in-law. They dismissed me. The herbs I had always fallen back on did not work. When I finally got the Lyme diagnosis, it was the beginning of a long journey.
I had always used herbs to overcome health issues, but I knew nothing about fighting Lyme. At the time, I was thankful it wasn’t Parkinson’s or some other dread disease, but Lyme turned out to be my greatest challenge and health crisis. Along with the concussion, I was not sure I would ever write again.
The way back has been slow, but I was never a quitter. It has been a long journey over a few years, but I did fight my way back to writing and being functional again.
