Find out if your doctor is receiving compensation for the drugs he prescribes.
Learn from a government website if your surgeon or doctor is receiving money from drug companies on this site.
Well, before I start on the next substack, I got two comments that doctors don’t get compensation for prescribing drugs. For those of you who doubt it, here is a government site included in this Substack. Your doctor may not appear on this site, but it would not exist without some doctors and other professionals who do.
Proof of Kickbacks in lawsuits lost.

You need to know the doctor's name, his practice name, and where he practices to get the information. You will also need to know his National Provider Number in your search. I have included the link below to do that. Some doctors may not show up in this database, but many do.
Question for my readers?
If no doctors received compensation from drug companies, would this government site exist?
I would question a doctor’s prescription that he writes for you if it will help him to add to his income. Isn’t that a conflict of interest? In my mind, it is.
Here is the site, called OpenPayments Data
“Advanced Search
The Open Payments Search Tool is used to search for physicians, physician assistants, advanced practice nurses, and teaching hospitals receiving payments from drug and medical device companies. It may also be used to search for drug and medical device companies to see what payments they made to health care providers.
“The most recent data publication marks the fourth year that the Open Payments data includes physician assistants, nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists, certified registered nurse anesthetists, anesthesiologist assistants, and certified nurse midwives. Drug and medical device companies reported 16.15 million records amounting to $13.14 billion in payments or transfers of value to health care providers during 2024.
Payment information on this site reflects the most recent seven years of Open Payments’ data. Program Years 2013 – 2017 are archived and can be accessed on the Archived Dataset page.
Data displayed on this search tool is from January 2018 through December 2024. See our about page for more information.” direct quote.
Proof of Kickbacks in lawsuits lost.
GlaxoSmithKline lost its lawsuit and was convicted of paying kickbacks to doctors. Read below.
GlaxoSmithKline paid out $3 billion for, among other violations, failing to disclose safety data and other fraud. They are a shining example of how drug companies could care less about your health and are only in it for drug profits.
“The penalties are related to deceptive marketing, including off-label promotion and kickbacks, and failure to report safety data.
GSK agreed to pay based on:
Promoting Paxil, Wellbutrin, Advair, Lamictal, and Zofran for off-label and non-covered uses, in addition to paying kickbacks to physicians for prescribing those drugs.
Giving kickbacks to physicians for prescribing Imitrex, Lotronex, Flovent, and Valtrex.
Making false and misleading statements about Avandia’s safety.
False reporting to the Medicaid Drug Rebate Program.”
I hope, for your sake, that you are going to a doctor who doesn’t show up when you use the tool above. There are some good doctors out there who genuinely care about their patients' health. We have had two excellent doctors in 10 years. We walked out of 4 offices during the past 10 years. I am providing this tool to help you determine where your doctor stands.
All for today!
